The story of Twisted Noodles began in 2017 as an idea written on a restaurant napkin. Albany Farms started as an importer of ramen noodles, but quickly pivoted when Covid-19 struck. The cost to import ramen noodles from Asia jumped 250%. It made the most sense to focus on producing a domestically noodle. Retail shelves were empty of ramen due to shipping costs and availability. Food insecurity was high. Albany Farms began searching the United States for a plant that would be suitable and capable to produce ramen and settled on a plant in the center of the United States, Belle Fourche, South Dakota. This location was convenient for bringing the highest quality flour produced in the United States.
The first cup line was delivered in June 2022, and production began in November 2022. Early 2023 the pillow line was delivered. Future plans include additional lines. Albany Farms is dedicated to bringing high quality, high protein, no MSG added USA made noodles to retail shelves worldwide!
